Canadian law requires that any person exposed to hazardous materials in the workplace must be trained in Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS).
This comprehensive WHMIS 2015 course includes the new Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling for chemicals (GHS) enacted in 2015. It also covers content from the previous WHMIS system (WHMIS 1988).
Once you pass your course, you may print your certificate of completion which is valid for 12 months.
Training may be paused or resumed at any time.
It is an employee’s responsibility to participate in WHMIS safety training, take necessary measures to protect themselves and co-workers, and to properly identify and control hazardous materials. The onus is on the employer to ensure that hazardous materials are properly labelled, to have SDSs available, and to offer education and training about the products in the workplace.
This training program is intended to be completed entirely online. There is no audible playback.
Depending on your duties or workplace hazards, supplementary training for specific hazardous materials, Safety Data Sheets, workplace labeling practices, or other additional considerations may be required. Please contact us for more information or to arrange supplementary or hands-on training.
Workplace Safety and Health regulations require that workers be informed about the hazards of controlled products used within their workplace. On an annual basis, workers must receive the appropriate WHMIS training to enable them to work safely.
This course is best done at a computer or on a tablet.
You must have unique emails for each person being registered for the course - you cannot register multiple people under the same email address
A student is anyone in (or returning to/starting in the fall) High School, College, University, Private Skills Training School, or who is participating in their apprenticeship for their respective trade.

Honestly thought it would have been boring and disengaging. I was wrong, and the instructor kept us engaged and interested the whole time. Best training experience I've ever had. Thank you!
