If someone had told me even a year ago that we would be opening our very own training facility, I would have told them they were crazy. However, after searching for what seemed like forever, we finally found what we hope will be the one-stop-shop for Niagara Region to get their Health and Safety needs met.

So what can you expect to find in our new location? Well let me take you on a little tour.

Upon entering the building, you are hit with the relaxed feeling of being someplace familiar. We tried very hard to stay away from the stuffy corporate look, and wanted to make people feel at home. There are four lounge chairs in the open concept area to just sit back with your coffee if you are early.

Flowing from the main area is the “war room” (ok, that’s what WE call it). This is where we hash out our ideas, deconstruct accident investigations, or just hang out and eat our lunch. There is a fridge, microwave, water cooler, and coffee maker with a variety of options for the non-coffee drinker as well.

Just through the next door is where the magic really happens. This is the training room. There is approximately 1100sq.ft of dedicated space where we have set up small group tables, comfortable rolling chairs, and a 70” TV. All the equipment is hung for easy access, lifelines are secured from anchors, and Randy the training dummy stands guard in the corner ready to be called into action.

Some of the little extras we have at the shop include: free wi-fi, lockers with your own code if you want to leave things over lunch, free parking, and a charging station for your phone in case your battery runs low.

We are looking forward to seeing you all in the near future now that our doors are officially open!
